Google pagerank drop again, I spotted some blogger has been complaining dropped of pagerank early this month, and now it's going to drop again. Guess Google had new algorithm to determine pagerank or maybe more proper quality control over pagerank. The Google pagerank has been a myth to most of us and even there's no absolute answer how Google determined pagerank for a site. Here's my understanding of pagerank, the more pagerank the better as Google gives priority to higher pagerank when indexing website to their search engine and people perceived higher pagerank site as elite website. Today I saw a drop on this blog pagerank, I did a pagerank check and it seem like Google is updating the pagerank (see picture). My blog pagerank "kena" drop from 3 to 2.

• AutoBlog (from 6 to 4)
• Problogger (from 6 to 4)
• Copyblogger (from 6 to 4)
• Search Engine Journal (from 7 to 4)
• Quick Online Tips (from 6 to 3)
• Search Engine Roundtable (from 7 to 4)
• Blog Herald (from 6 to 4)
• Weblog Tools Collection (from 6 to 4)
• JohnTP (from 6 to 4)
• Coolest Gadgets (from 5 to 3)
• CyberNet News (from 6 to 4)

That's a big hit to them in term of bringing in traffic from search engine. However, they do not need to worry much as they already have loyal readers to read their blog daily. The pagerank drop could be good or bad, good in giving Google better quality control for pagerank and bad for disappointing downgraded pagerank site owner which could have spend time and money to build their pagerank, some blog may drop from pagerank 4 to pagerank 2, my blog drop from pagerank 3 to 2? However I am not that bad actually compared to them. Google slap me once, but they got slap twice.
